REMINDA

Your thoughts are yours. Cryptographically.

Most AI assistants read everything you type. Reminda is different: all your notes, memories, and flashcards are encrypted on your device before they ever reach our servers. We physically cannot read your data — even if we wanted to.

The Hard Truth

AI usage history is
more dangerous than you think.

Imagine everything you have ever shared with AI — private thoughts, confidential code, and personal data — leaked to the public one day.

Myth

Reality

My conversations are strictly between me and a chatbot.

Human engineers can review your logs for "quality training" anytime.

Decrypt to plain text

Technical architecture

Zero-knowledge by design, not by policy

Most privacy claims are policies. Ours is mathematics. You cannot decrypt data without the key — and only your device holds it.

Reminda encryption stack

Key DerivationPBKDF2 · 100,000 iterations · SHA-256

Your password becomes a device-side key — slow enough to prevent brute-force

CipherAES-256-GCM

Military-grade authenticated encryption with integrity verification

Key StorageDevice Memory Only

Keys are never persisted to disk or transmitted over the network

Server Access0% Plaintext

Our servers receive, store, and transmit only ciphertext blobs

AI Model AccessSession-Scoped Only

Only the context your current session requires is temporarily decrypted

Your key, your data

The encryption key exists only in your device's memory during an active session. When you close the app, the key is erased. We have no key escrow, no backdoor, and no administrative override.

Threat model

What attacks we protect against

Server breach

Encrypted blobs are meaningless without the client-side key. A database leak reveals nothing readable.

Man-in-the-middle

TLS 1.3 + client-side encryption ensures intercepted traffic is double-protected ciphertext.

Insider threat

Even Reminda engineers cannot access user content. Zero plaintext storage by design.

Government subpoena

We can only hand over ciphertext. We physically cannot produce your plaintext data.

AI model training

Your data is encrypted before reaching any AI provider. Model APIs see only session-scoped temporary decryptions.

Third-party leaks

No analytics SDKs, no ad networks, and no data brokers have access to your encrypted information.

Privacy that matters — for every use case

Professionals

Executive strategy notes, M&A research, board memos — protected from corporate espionage and data broker exposure.

Researchers

Pre-publication lab findings, patent data, and manuscript drafts remain encrypted until you choose to share.

Students

Personal study notes, academic performance data, and exam strategies stay private between you and your device.

Developers

API keys, architecture decisions, and proprietary algorithms stored in encrypted code snippet decks.

Security & privacy FAQ

Can Reminda employees read my notes?

No. The architecture makes this technically impossible. Only encrypted ciphertext is stored server-side. Without your client-side key, we cannot decrypt anything.

What happens if I forget my password?

Because we use zero-knowledge encryption, we cannot recover your data without your password. We recommend using a secure password manager and enabling backup codes.

Does E2EE slow down the app?

Encryption and decryption happen in milliseconds using native browser WebCrypto APIs. In practice, users cannot perceive any performance difference.

Is Reminda open source?

Our encryption libraries and client-side cryptographic implementation are open for independent audit. Contact security@reminda.ai for access to our security documentation.

How is this different from other private AI tools?

Most 'private AI' tools promise not to look at your data — a policy. Our architecture makes it mathematically impossible to read your data — that's a cryptographic guarantee.

Think freely. We can't read it anyway.

Experience the first AI assistant that is mathematically incapable of reading your private thoughts.
